"आस - ७" Free Dental Campaign

07 Days FREE DENTAL CAMPAIGN

Eating habits are a major problem nowadays. Lifestyles have changed, needs have altered. People are aware about the latest gadgets but hardly about health trends. Do you remember the last you had your health check up? Well not so shockingly half of the youngsters are not even aware of it. Awareness cannot be spread by setting only policies but it should comprise simpler and short term milestones.

Similar step was taken by our proud NGO member Dr. Nidhi Vyas and her team. She with the support of our Anant Aman Social Welfare Society arranged a dental camp dating from 25th Jan 2017 to 31st Jan 2017.It was held at Dental lounge, 1709 Dwarkapuri. A good population of around 500 appeared. It comprised patients of every age from child to aged people. The main aim of this camp was to spread dental awareness. The following points were highlights-

- To brush atleast twice a day to avoid cavity.
- To use a floss to clean mouth regularly.
- Intake of green vegetables and foods should be increased.
- Visit nearby dentist in every six months.
- Avoid sticky foods such as chocolates.

Each patient actively participated and discussed their dental issues. 50-75 children came for the check up and parents were asked for follow up visits. 07 aged patients were keenly observed who didn't had teeths. And were provided with dentures.

The camp ended up successfully as it left over with smile on the faces of patients and with a feeling of relief that they are alright. The positive feedback of patients foster our belief of continuing such camps that too at mega level.

Thanks.

Dental camaign Overview -

Dr. Nidhi Vyas and I (Dr. Pooja) checked almost 200 patients in which there were many routine checkup patients, we told them about all the dental problems they were suffering from, if not cured or treated they may have to bear painful consequences later on... We diagnosed and treated almost 5 to 8 patients of disimpaction (wisdom tooth extraction). We did almost 150 patients of full oral mouth prophylaxis (scaling). We did almost 40 patients of RCT (Root Canal Treatment) and cap placement in-fact multiple bridges placement also done. We started 2 patients of denture which will be continued after camp also. We also diagnosed 2 cancer patients which will be treated by specialist.
Thanks to Anant Aman Social Welfare Society for such encouragement and help that they gave. Thanks to all team members of our Ngo Hemant sir, Atul Dwivedi, Devendra Pandey, Sarang Rajderkar, Vidit Pathak for all help and coordination.

Dental Checkup of Patients. Diagnosing the dental problems.

ADVISE to General Public..

These days people are really suffering more from dental problems and so we can say that awareness is increasing day by day.
People should not neglect their dental problems it may lead to such diseases that it’s difficult for a person to even chew food nicely.

So please don't be ignorant and get yourself into problem. In camp also and normally also we heard some myths that if u get your teeth extracted, it leads to cancer or if you go for full mouth oral prophylaxis (scaling) it would lead to loosening of teeth. Such things are absolutely wrong. So please don't be ignorant, don't believe in such myths and get yourself checked in every six months. Brush twice with proper technique. Change your toothbrush in every 3 months.... So at last I wish u all have a happy and healthy smile.

Gulaal !!

Being a Jain I have learnt not to waste water unnecessarily. But being a human I have experienced that never to waste a single moment which who knows can be unknowingly source of joy. Well this situation is truly a dilemma. Now how will I be able to play Holi. Water or colors or just social sites! Excess water usage will ruin my values; colors may be skin sensitive, while just plain texts would be boredom.

Well not wasting water literally makes sense. There is still a major chunk in India which still suffers of this water shortage problem. We people usually go insane when our comfort zones that is a.c., water coolers or fans suffer from glitch and we have to spend just few hours without them. But you know there are still people in this nation whose happiness doesn't lie in such luxurious materialistic things. Their happiness lies in just basic needs such as food, clothe and home.

I have been constantly reading the success story of startups nowadays. Be it the Bangalore Cleanliness startup or Indore's recent Med startup. Wow! Technically we have so much innovation that just one click and get the most desirable stuff ignoring all the vague.  But isn't it true that the more we are becoming technology driven, the more we are forgetting our values.  In India still only 38 percent people have access to internet. Many rural areas are still facing the issue of water shortage, power shortage, food etc. Here the point isn't to be sympathetic towards them. They better know how to prove their capabilities and strive for what they want.

The only point that is being exaggerated is we as future drivers should understand the value of our natural resources and should not take them for granted. We should be careful if any leakage occurs at our surroundings. We should consume only that much water that we require. I have learnt this value from my 4rth standard student.  One day she asked me for water. I served her full glass of water. She asked me to make it half. I asked her why? She replied ' I don't require full glass I just require half amount of it and we should not waste water. I gently smiled and thanked her for opening my eyes. Children may be small but give us big teachings in simplest ways. I f you see today not just Rajasthan even Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh are equally suffering the problem of water shortage.

Since its Holi, so reminder reminder!! On this occasion we will really prove to be sensitive and tolerant. But to overcome this issue Holi wouldn't be enough we every day need to follow few basics to eradicate this issue such as:
  •       Only consume that much of water which is required
  •     Use bucket instead of taking a shower
  •     Use rice water for washing utensils and mopping
  •     In case of any leakage repair it asap

If we all take an oath to follow such basic things we will certainly make this a better nation to reside in.

But the good thing is finally I am out of dilemma. I have found a wonderful way of celebrating Holi. How about celebrating this grand occasion with small kiddos? Because their smile heals every pain and so whole heartedly our AnantAman family invite you on this auspicious occasion of Holi to celebrate it with a social cause on 28th March 2k16.

This Holi, play safe, go eco-friendly & save water. Dry Holi is best Holi.

Happy Holi

ORGAN DONATION- THE GIFT OF A LIFETIME

Indore has now entered among the top Indian cities in organ donation. We are now ranked second (amongst cities) when a sum total is calculated for eye, skin and cadaver donations. We have now started making a green corridor and transporting the organ to other cities by air.

This news has captured everyone’s eyes last week, but there are still few myths related to this. Let’s understand the whole stuff…

What is organ donation?

Organ donation is the donation of biological tissue or an organ of the human body from a living or dead person to a living recipient in need of a transplantation. The donor of the organs plays a role of God in the life of organ transplanted person. One organ donor can save more than 8 lives in his life by donating his well function organs.

A reality check

More than 5 lakhs of the Indians are dying every year just because of the failure of their major functioning organs anytime.

·         200,000 people die of liver disease
·         50,000 people die from heart disease
·         150,000 people await a kidney transplant but only 5,000 get one
·         1,000,000 people suffer from corneal blindness and await transplant

Law for safe organ donation

To prevent the commercial dealing in human organs a Transplantation of Human Organs (THO) Act was passed in 1994. Aim of this act is to regulate the removal, storage and transplantation of human organs for therapeutic purposes only.

Who can donate?

·         A deceased donor, after brain death or cardiac death
·         A living donor, who can give a kidney, or a portion of the liver, lung, intestine or pancreas

Which organs can be donated?

Up to 25 different organs and tissues can be donated for transplantation.
Transplant able organs include :-

·         Heart
·         Kidneys
·         Liver
·         Lungs
·         Pancreas
·         Small intestines
Transplantable tissues include
·         Blood, blood vessels
·         Eyes
·         Skin
·         Bones
·         Bone marrow
·         Cartilage
·         Connective tissues
·         Heart valves

Maximum time span between recovering organs/ tissues and transplantation

Lung                    (4-6 hours)
Heart                   (4-6 hours)
Liver                    (12 hours)
Pancreas             (12 hours)
Kidney                 (12 hours)
Skin                     (6-12 hours)
Corneas               (14 days)

Reason for low organ donation rate

Most of the people do not have proper awareness about the organ donation, which organs can be donated, when they can donate, how to get registered for the organ donation, etc. Some people do not interested in the organ donation or do not show their independent desire for organ donation because of the family pressure or their own fear and myths.

How to donate

There are two ways to donate organs:
1.
By pledging for organ donation when a person is alive
2.   By consent of family after death
Indian Society of Organ Transplantation was initiated the Transplant Registry in India in 2005. There is a facility of online organ registry for the people all over India who are willing to donate organs on their own will. Organ registry ensures the proper organ donation as well as the fair use of donated organs in the future according to the priority of need and requirements of the organs to the recipients.  Please visit the following website for registration :-

<***>Diwali Fest..<***>

One of the auspicious Celebration, pious fest, full of zest, zeal and enthusiasm.
We celebrate this festival with our family, friends, relatives, purchase new clothes, distribute Sweets, visit each other's home to wish and share some time with our loved ones.
It's our pleasure to share this time with those who usually have an eye at their door step that someone will visit and share happiness with them. Some one will come who will bring new clothes, sweets, crackers etc for them. Those ignored kids always wait for kind hearts who would come to devote their time.
With this thought, our NGO AnantAman Social Welfare Society organized Diwali Celebration at Orphange..
At 10:00 AM we reached at orphange. When kids there saw us, the smile on their face was unforgettable. Really it was like those kids were waiting only for us.
From 10:15 am onnwards all our NGO members started gathering. Celebration started with small interaction with kids.
On the demand of kids their at 10:30 am we started making arrangements for 'Dal Bafla'.
All our members shared several responsibility on their shoulders..
Suvidhi Sethi, Varnini Poddar helped in placing all our NGO banners, making arrangements for food materials etc..
.
.
.
Devendra Pandey, Poonam Rajoriya helped in taking care of children.
.
.
Mr. Prateek Maheshwari when entered orphange with his wife and daughter the other kids were more excited to see family at their premises.
.
.
.
At 11:30 am Atul Maheshwari made arrangements for cold drinks and light break fast for children.
.
.
.
Mr. Umang and Mr. Vidit took charge to capture memories i.e. of photography.
MR. Hitesh Bhawnani made arrangement of Dhol, speakers for the dance & masti.
In this way all the work was delegated among members.
In between Mr. Mahesh Bairagi taken care of food department to make availability of all things required in Dal Bafla receipy and helped Sheff to prepare food for all those kids.
All the things were going smoothly as all members duly taken care of all responsibilities taken and well coordinated with each other.
Dance on Dhol, Rangoli, Jokes, various amazing games etc all this make those kids cheerful, delighted.
Now the children feel hungry and were waiting for the food to be get ready as soon as possible.
By 1:15 pm food was ready to be served to children.
By 2:00 Pm we all got free from lunch and then proceed for the Clothes and Sweet Distribution.
Our members donated New Clothes to kids there and again a small fun activity was organized for them.
When we had to depart from there all the faces looked cheerless and kids were asking when you all will come back?
Although it is true to say that Crackers create pollution but we have to break our rules for a day to bring smile on all those dull faces. We distributed some crackers among kids.
May be it's a new way for some one, may be it's common way to some to enjoy in this manner but really not only those kids even we all people felt so much joy that when 5 hours passed no one realized.
"Really these are wonderful memories to preserve"

No glitz and glamour, happiness in cheapest ever

10th oct'15 was one of the most awesomes days that has ever occurred to me. This was Saturday which is almost thought as a chill pill day by Indians. School children abhor moving to school this day as next is going to be a fun day-Sunday. College youths find this as an apt day to go for GT. Either to watch a new released movie or urge to go to an adventorus trip. Be it choki dhani, patal paani, vijay chat ki chole  tikki and many many more. But this time none of the above mentioned reason made me happy. Neither the movie nor the odi tickets. The reason because of which I kept smiling the whole day was a social cause. Our visit to orphanage. We all were supposed to report at 11:30am. I only knew the President of AnantAman  social welfare society Mr Hemant gupta sir. We all headed towards a common destination of which maximum people were aware-Annapurna temple. Gradually people started gathering. Some youths were from Medicaps and some were from Vaishnav college. I do not remember all names but yes some remarkable were Apurva, Poonam, Suchi, Abhishek, Aditya and many more. Well presence of every guy made event successful and more remarkable. Well what I really liked in the group was their enthusiasm level. Now finally after all gatherings we reached orphanage. As soon as we entered they greeted us with Jai Shree Krishna. And at that point I realised how wonderful are our Indian values. We took intro of all the kids. Their strength was approx 25. Actually we went with a special moto of celebrating birthday of one of our group member's colleague Divya as well as two children from the orphanage itself: Manish & Ajay. But before cake cutting ceremony we had various games so that they could open up with us and enjoy to their fullest. After intro we had fun including dances, songs, poetries and lots of stories cited by various sweet voices. I was really shocked but actually glad to see their updation regarding songs, movies and several dance styles. It was an awe moments. It was really nice the way we young bloods mingled with our future young bloods, kids. Then obvio it was time for the most trendy thing. Yeah snaps. The other moment we really felt touched was when all kids unitedly recited prayer before lunch and cake ceremony. They looked so determined and ambitious while playing. It truely created a positive aura. It reminded me a flashback of my school days. After a short span we served lunch which comprised of almost every child's favorite. Yes it was yummy pav -bhaji. All of them ate it in very organised and systematic manner. I could glance satisfaction level on each and every face . Well what could be better than this. Apart from all the glitz and glamour of this world they were destined to find happiness even in the cheapest of things. Well this is what exactly we need to learn from them. Even in the toughest phases of life they do not seem to struggle. They are enjoying and living to their fullest. At times kids teach us things which even elder fail to teach. Being natural and simplicity is one of the biggest lessons I have learnt. Not only me but we all need to learn from it. At last, although we were not willing to move but as time didn't permitted us we had to make a move. We concluded our event with some moral teachings that every children should be aware of. More than them we were thankful to kids for making our day extremely unique and our event exclusive as well successful.
