PEAKING INNOCENCE
A presence of the small soul turns the four walls into a perfect home. Child, a boon from Mother Nature, in every way represents the purest form of innocence. Unfortunately not every little one receives a perfect place to grow the way he or she deserves.
As the word child states the beginning of life, it means in order to protect life we need strong methods to implement children empowerment, these circumstances gave birth to child welfare. It has become a topmost priority of any nation to protect its newly born generation, because they will ultimately take lead in future. Children are most vulnerable and naive part of society, thus their mentoring and nurturing has been a delicate issue. Different children across the globe face different situations. They need to be protected from trading, exploitation, harmful traditional practices, abuses etc. They need to see the world through better perception, their talent needs appreciation, their problems need to be herd and heeded accordingly, as what society feeds into the infant mind will stay with it till the last breath.
Despite of the desperate change in the grooming of the little ones of the society, i see children begging on streets for food, begging for money, begging for survival. Nobody has the liberty to choose the place he wishes to dwell upon. Child welfare has become a major concern growing globally day by day as the importance of life itself has become a fragile issue. Day by day so many people lose their life due to various mass destructions. There was a time when man was busy finding out how long he would live; now he’s busy in keeping track how many people die even before giving a thought to that fact. Homeless or poor children are chained to the gallows of hopelessness, and even few of those chains’ keys have lost in time of their ancestors. Children like these are tied to the fate of their parents, few of them mange to brake the walls, but not everyone’s a slum dog millionaire. The rest which are born without a name in society, they are also coiled in the society’s vicious cycle of poor education and limited health benefits. Child labour, which is strictly prohibited in our today’s society, is still preached in some invisible corners of firework and glass factories. With the new stats coming up, there’s a major population of children being ruthlessly pushed towards prostitution, pornography etc. there are so many shades of grey to be unleashed, but only a few in condition of mending at the moment.
In terms of steps taken by the government, India lags way behind other nations. Countries like Canada, United states have free education provided for the population in need. UNICEF has targeted issues like HIV, human trafficking in various countries across the globe. The growth and awareness level has been substantially significant. Global organisations work hand in hand with countries in order to provide best facilities to the majorly affected areas. Apart from the global organisations, there are many indigenous organisations, which have shown keen interest in promoting humanitarianism. In our country initiatives have been taken to foster child welfare among slums, orphanages etc. like the youth has been very active towards participating in the empowerment of education in every narrow street possible. The previous years have shown the partial success of ‘each one teach one’, but basically the concept can slowly erode the literacy problem in our country. Plus the successful eradication of polio has boosted up the spirits of the people working for such social causes. There’s an urgent need of things to work more efficiently in this sector, because the growing census is also another major issue to tackle in this mammoth country. Despite of the money flow and funds availability, the need of the hour is a very strong administration to manage it in a legitimate manner. Different n.g.o’s have taken bold initiatives to heal the most delicate issues of our abashed society. The change making process is itself an endless loop, but even for that loop to end; a firm beginning is unavoidable. Children of our country need a strong hand to hold on ahead for their future, and it’s our time to get the ropes and wheel in our hand to set sail for a better future awaiting us.
